Propane Emergency Training

The Kentucky Propane Education and Research Council works diligently to reduce the risk of danger to consumers and employees in the unlikely event of a propane accident. Since 1999, KYPERC has worked with the Kentucky Community and Technical College System to offer training to the first responders of the Commonwealth. KYPERC funds training classes at each of the 15 State Fire Rescue Training regions. The curriculum has been adopted as part of the official training program for all uniform and volunteer firefighters in the Commonwealth. The training consists of classroom instruction and a live burn pictured below.
